The meeting of the EAP Task Force took place on 23-24 October 2008 in Astana (Kazakhstan).  The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss progress in implementing the the EAP Task Force's Programme of Work, and priority areas of work for 2009 and beyond. The meeting started with a special session on  how the challenge of institutional development of Environment Ministries in the region could be addressed, drawing on new approaches being employed by development cooperation agencies in OECD countries.
