The OECD plays a key role supporting the G20 process with analysis, data and policy reviews. The OECD, in collaboration with the ILO, has prepared a series of reports to support the Ministers’ discussions at the G20 Labour and Employment Ministerial meeting in Paris on 26-27 September. These reports review recent employment and labour market trends in a period of highly differentiated recovery from the global downturn and focus on selected key structural issues in G20 labour markets and the policy challenges to address them, including policy options to give youth a better start in the world of work; how to strengthen social protection for all and how to ensure mutually reinforcing economic, social and employment policies for effective development and growth outcomes. Country notes also present concrete examples of good practices in labour market and social policy.
