  • Simon Field opened the International Conference on Employer Engagement in Education and Training (London, July 2016) with his paper Between Two Worlds: Education and Work. Based on his extensive working experience with the OECD, he set out three major challenges in bridging the gap between education and employment: culture, institutions and economics.   • Simon Field gave a keynote address to the Meeting of European Ministers of Vocational Education and Training under the Latvian presidency, focusing on challenges to Europe from emerging economies, work-based learning and the need for innovation in VET systems, on 22 June 2015.
