The DAC ENVIRONET is supporting sustainable development in partner countries by monitoring development finance for climate change, providing policy insights and recommendations to the development community regarding climate change, and contributing to the post-2015 sustainable development agenda.
With the adoption of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development as background, this meeting will provide an important opportunity to discuss the challenges and opportunities of SDG implementation. We will discuss how to draw on and adapt current PCD mechanisms to mobilise the whole government and enhance policy coherence for sustainable development in implementing the SDGs.
This Workshop took place just weeks after the UN Sustainable Development Summit and adoption of the SDGs. Addis Ababa - Part of the 3rd International Conference on Financing for Development, this event explored strategies to leverage Africa’s pension funds and other sources of private financing to develop Africa’s infrastructure. Ways to improve the investment climate in Africa using the recently updated Policy Framework for Investment were also be addressed.
