    International integration, infrastructure and investment in education are the priorities for Uruguay, according to the OECD Multi-dimensional Review

    The Multi-dimensional Review of Uruguay (Volume 1 and 2) delivers an assessment and makes recommendations for overcoming constraints on economic and social development. It was presented by the Director of the OECD Development Centre, Mario Pezzini, in the presence of Uruguay’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rodolfo Nin Novoa, and the Minister of Economy and Finance, Danilo Astori.

    L’histoire coloniale a fait de l’Afrique une incroyable mosaïque constituée aujourd’hui de 54 pays et 3 territoires, dont 14 n’ont aucun accès à la mer, 22 ont moins de 10 millions d’habitants ; autant de records mondiaux. Conscients de ces difficultés, les africains se sont dit qu’il valait mieux accepter la balkanisation du continent, plutôt que de voir se multiplier les conflits territoriaux et les guerres.

    Youth Inclusion project - Moldova

    Since the proclamation of independence in 1991, Moldova has been in a phase of transition, which brings about significant economic restructuring and social changes. According to the National Bureau of Statistics of Moldova, youth aged between 15-24 accounted for 18.8% of the total population[1] in 2004 – this generation has great potential to positively contribute to the development and self-determination of the country, and the youth.

    Cette série aide les pays à identifier et surmonter les obstacles à de meilleurs niveaux de bien-être et à une croissance plus équitable et durable. Elle s’appuie sur des examens multidimensionnels par pays, qui tiennent compte des interactions entre les politiques et de l'environnement national dans lequel s’inscrivent ces dernières. Ces examens comportent trois phases. La première consiste en une évaluation initiale des obstacles au développement. La deuxième propose une analyse de fond des principaux problèmes et découle sur des recommandations détaillées. La troisième phase est conçue pour passer de la théorie à la pratique et soutenir les efforts du gouvernement dans l'élaboration de stratégies et la mise en œuvre des politiques recommandées.
