The 8th annual International Forum on Asian Perspectives will be held in Paris on Monday 24 and Tuesday 25 June. This event, co-organised each year by the OECD Development Centre and the Asian Development Bank, brings together experts and decision-makers from OECD and Asian countries for an open exchange of views on priority issues affecting Asian and OECD countries. The topic of this year's Forum is "Asia and Europe: Services Liberalisation".
During the first day of the Forum, which will be held at OECD Headquarters, well-known experts will discuss the present state of trade in services, the extent of its liberalisation and the challenges ahead. A Public Conference will be held on the second day at the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry in Paris. It will bring together over 150 participants from government, industry, banking, research, civil society and the media. The high-level panel discussions will draw out government and private sector perspectives on services liberalisation in Europe and Asia and examine its future prospects.
