The OECD Development Centre’s new Black Sea and Central Asian Economic Outlook assesses the economies and policies of countries in the Black Sea and Central Asian regions. It has been designed as a unique tool for national and regional dialogue between policy makers, civil society and communication professionals. The publication, which has a focus on “Promoting Work and Well Being”, includes an analysis of employment, informal employment, migration, coping mechanisms of individuals against income loses and labour market policies, and identifies best practices from other regions, particularly from OECD countries.
The official launch in Bucharest on 23 June will be hosted by the Romanian Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Labour, Family and Equal Opportunities, and by the OECD Development Centre. The event, sponsored by ERSTE Bank, will provide participants with an opportunity to share their views on policy challenges in the two regions examined in the book.
