Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, in Copenhagen on 27 April 2017

 

Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, was in Copenhagen on 27 April 2017 to hold a series of meetings to prepare the OECD’s annual Ministerial Council Meeting (MCM), taking place next 7-8 June under the chairmanship of Denmark.

During his visit, the Secretary-General held bilateral meetings with Mr. Lars Løkke Rasmussen, Prime Minister of Denmark and with Ms. Ulla Tørnæs, Minister for Development Co-operation.

He attended meetings with the Business and Industry Advisory Committee (BIAC) and the Trade Union Advisory Committee (TUAC), to discuss their views and contributions to the Ministerial [read his opening remarks].

The Secretary-General also delivered remarks at the Conference “Making Globalisation Work: Better Lives for All", organised by the Danish Chamber of Commerce, where he shared OECD’s work to ensure that everyone benefits from globalisation and advanced some of the themes and focus of the forthcoming OECD Week.
