Colombia-OECD-World Bank Conference on Financial Education


Progress of Global Policies and Practices and Latin American Experience

Cartagena, Colombia

Organised by the Colombian Deposit Insurance Fund (Fogafin),
the Central Bank of Colombia, the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF), the OECD and the World Bank, discussions at this conference focused on:

  • Latin American experiences in the development and implementation of national strategies for financial education
  • Measurement of financial literacy, tools, international evidence and regional examples
  • Analysis of programmes targeted at hard-to-reach groups, impact evaluation and relevant international guidance

The work of the Russia/OECD/World Bank Trust Fund on Financial Literacy and Education was also be presented.This conference was attended by high-level officials and experts from ministries of finance and education, central banks, regulatory and supervisory authorities, officials of State governments and international organisations, the private sector, academia and civil society.
