The Secretary-General attended a 1+6 Roundtable Meeting on the invitation of Prime Minister Li Keqiang. He also took part in the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting in Chengdu, delivered remarks at the opening of a China-OECD policy dialogue on new approaches to economic challenges, and held bilateral meetings with high-level officials.
The Secretary-General attended the China Development Forum and also presented the Chinese edition of the OECD Latin American Economic Outlook 2016: Towards a New Partnership with China as well as the report “Policies for Sound and Effective Investment in China”.
The Secretary-General spoke at the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors meeting, the G20 High-Level Seminar on Structural Reform, and also presented the OECD report Going for Growth 2016.
H.E. Li Keqiang, Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, paid a historic visit to the OECD to deliver a keynote address and sign cooperation agreements to bolster ongoing collaboration.
Mr. Gurría was on an official visit to mark the 20th anniversary of China-OECD co-operation and attend an event jointly organised by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China. During the visit, Mr. Gurría also held bilateral meetings with high-level officials and presented the 2015 OECD Economic Survey of China.
Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, was in Beijing, from 8 to 11 November 2014 to attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation CEO Summit.
Beijing, 24 October 2014 - China presented guidelines intended to provide a roadmap for the responsible business conduct of Chinese companies operating overseas. In addition, China and the OECD signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote the implementation by Chinese companies of responsible business conduct in global mineral supply chains.
Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, will be in Beijing, from 20 to 22 October 2014 to attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Finance Ministers Meetings.
Mr. Angel Gurría, OECD Secretary-General, was in Beijing from 21 to 24 March 2014 to deliver a speech at the China Development Forum and to hold meetings with several Chinese officials.
This workshop, organised jointly by the Agricultural Trade Promotion Center of the Ministry of Agriculture (ATPC) of China and the OECD, will discuss the key policy issue of how to ensure that productivity growth in agriculture globally and, in particular, in China is sufficient to meet growing demand and that it is done sustainably.
