The DAC Network on Gender Equality (GENDERNET) has a successful track record of influencing global processes to advance gender equality and women's rights. At the Third International Conference on Financing for Development, the Addis Ababa Action Plan for Transformative Financing for Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment was launched. This Action Plan, developed by the GENDERNET, UN Women, and Member States, outlines the transformative policy and financing actions required to implement the Addis Ababa Action Agenda in support of achieving gender equality and empowering all women and girls.
The GENDERNET will hold a joint biennial workshop with the UN Inter‑agency Network on Women and Gender Equality (IANWGE) in December 2015. This workshop will focus on the implementation of the commitments of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on gender equality and women’s rights.
