Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, was in Brisbane to attend the G20 Leaders' Summit on 15-16 November. Prior to the Summit, the Secretary-General attended a G20 Finance Ministers Meeting and the L20 and B20 meetings. He delivered a speech on "Inequality and Inclusive Growth" at the L20 meeting. Mr. Gurría also delivered a keynote address on “Strengthening Global Growth” at the Pre-Summit Conference taking place at Brisbane City Hall. He delivered statements about "The global economy: strengthening growth and job creation" during Session 1 of the Leader's Summit, about Trade and Investment during the Working Dinner on Trade, and about Delivering global economic resilience: Taxation during Session 2. During his stay in Australia, the OECD Secretary-General held meetings with the Heads of International Organisations and several high level officials attending the Summit. |
