15-18: Gaidar Forum

Gaidar logo‌  Hosted by OECD Forum Knowledge Partner, the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA). The 2014 Forum is entitled "Russia and the World: Sustainable Development" and will focus on issues such as economic growth in the context of global transformations, its potential and effective management, risks associated with innovative entrepreneurship, new industrialization, contradictions of resource-based economies and controversial effects of modernization for Russia’s socio-political and economic development.
The OECD will act as a partner of the Forum and Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, will officially launch with Russian Deputy-Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov the OECD Economic Survey of the Russian Federation and participate in a panel discussion on the potential benefits of OECD membership for Russia.

Les Echos conférences - Forum Economie Santé "Système de soins : relever le défi de l'efficience"
For its 19th conference, the Forum Economie Santé will consider the developments in the French health system initiated by the new government.


INSEAD Global Business Leaders Conference: “Europe: Converging on Competitiveness”, OECD Conference Centre, Paris.
The conference will bring decision-makers from the private and public sector to debate the opportunities for long-term competitiveness in Europe through institutional reform, diffusion of best practices in industrial excellence, and promotion of entrepreneurship and innovation. Mr. Rintaro Tamaki, OECD Deputy Secretary-General, will speak at the conference.

Hosted by OECD Forum Knowledge Partner, the China Development Research Foundation. The past decade has witnessed dramatic ups and downs in both China and the world. At the turn of the decade, we look into the future to seek various possibilities in the next ten years. China aims to complete the construction of a well-off society by 2020. What will the world be by then? What will the relationship between China and the world look like? What is the direction of development? What measures should to be taken right now to cope with the prospect and challenges in the near future?


Gaidar Forum: Russia & the World: Challenges of Integration 
Hosted by OECD Forum Knowledge Partner, the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration.  This Forum discussed steps towards building a more proactive role of Russia in the global economy. The core discussions focused on better growth management, business environment, Russia’s input into global growth with the view of WTO and OECD accession, social challenges of modernization and institutional reforms.

Organised by Les Echos in the framework of their partnership with the OECD Forum. Latest developments on state debt, new international financial regulation and the post-election period in France highlight the need to rethink the role of the state in the economy.
