Jie-Ae Sohn is currently the President of the Korea International Broadcasting Foundation (Arirang TV & Radio) since 2011. Her career as a journalist started by working for The New York Times as a reporter from 1992 to 1994. From 1995 to 2009, she worked as CNN’s bureau chief and correspondent based in Seoul, Korea.
She served as the spokesperson of the Presidential Committee for the Seoul G20 Summit in 2010, and was the Presidential Secretary of the Office of overseas public relations at the executive office of the President from 2010 to 2011.
Ms. Sohn, born in Seoul, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science & International Relations from Ewha Womans University and a Master’s Degree from Yonsei University Graduate School for Journalism and Mass Communication.
