Adnan Bali was born in 1962. His banking career began in 1986 at Isbank by joining the Board of Inspectors as an Assistant Inspector after graduating in 1986 from the Middle East Technical University in Ankara with a BS degree in Economics. After working at various managerial positions at Isbank, Adnan Bali was promoted to the position of Deputy Chief Executive in 2006 and, until he became CEO of Isbank on 1 April 2011, his responsibilities encompassed commercial and corporate banking. Adnan Bali is the Chairman of the Industrial Development Bank of Turkey, Isbank Germany (Isbank AG) and Isbank Russia (CJSC Isbank) and he is the Board Member of Vehbi Koç Foundation.
He is also on the Board of Trustees of Turkish Industrialists' & Businessmen's Association, The Istanbul Foundation for Culture & Art, The Turkish Foundation for Combating Soil Erosion for reforestation and protecting of Natural Habitats (TEMA), Darussafaka’s Supreme Advisory Board and a member of Institute of International Finance. Throughout his career, Mr. Bali has attended various training programmes held abroad, including an executive programme at Harvard Business School in Boston, Massachusetts.
Adnan Bali speaks English, is married and has three children.
