Vice-President, "Smarter Cities", IBM France
Since 2012, Philippe Sajhau is Vice President in charge of the " Smarter Cities" programme at IBM France. This programme is serves to harness the full potential of information and communication technology and to meet the challenges of increasing urbanization by developing innovative solutions that improves the quality of services offered to citizens, businesses and communities. He is particularly concerned with projects involving urban mobility in France and was a key actor in the launching of the "Smarter Cities" project with the city of Montpellier. In addition to his professional activity, Mr. Sajhau is also a municipal councillor on sustainable development and energy efficiency for the town of Nogent-sur-Marne. After graduating from Supelec and serving as Chairman of the school’s Digital group, Mr. Sajhau joined an IBM plant in Montpellier and held various positions in sales and sales management there. He then served as Head of Public Sector for the South West before taking charge of the Telecommunications, Media and Energy Sectors for France and Belgium. He was then in charge of business development services for SMEs/SMIs division before being appointed Vice President of the Storage and Servers Sector for Southern Europe. Finally, he was responsible for the Division of business partners and Sector SMEs/SMIs for France regarding the integration of proposals for new business models with partners that were made available by the arrival of the Cloud.
