OECD Forum 2012: Knowledge Partners

 

The American Chamber of Commerce to the European Union (AmCham EU) speaks for American business invested in Europe on trade, investment and competitiveness issues. The organisation has long been valued as an independent source of quality information and analysis of issues and is committed to deepening the transatlantic economic relationship.

 

The American Chamber of Commerce in France, “AmCham France”, is the oldest Franco-American business association in the world, and has been a driving force in transatlantic trade relations since 1894.  With more than 500 members including CAC 40 and Fortune 100 companies, AmCham France organizes seminars and roundtables around key strategic issues and conducts outreach to U.S. and French decision-makers on behalf of its members, encouraging an ongoing and constructive policy dialogue.

 

Founded in 1962, the Business and Industry Advisory Committee (BIAC) is the officially recognised representative of the OECD business community. BIACs members are the major business organisations in the 34 OECD member countries. Via its 32 standing committees and task forces, BIAC mirrors all economic policy issues the OECD covers, and their impacts on both member and an increasing number of non-member countries like Brazil, China, India and Russia.

 

"From Life Sciences to Sciences for Life"

BioVision brings together top decision-makers from the academic, private, policy-making and civil society sectors to translate innovative ideas into actionable solutions for the benefits of citizens. The next edition of the BioVision World Life Sciences Forum will be held March 24-26, 2013 in Lyon, France. It expects more than 3,000 participants from 60 different countries, and 100 media representatives.

BioVision is the place where key stakeholders can debate over the impact of the latest scientific advances on society and share a prospective vision on how to overcome health, environment and nutrition challenges. New in 2013, BioVision introduces its BioVision Collaboration Catalyzer, where innovation project holders can meet and connect with potential partners and investors.  

 

China Development Research Foundation (CDRF) is a national commonalty, which aims to support policy research and academic exchanges, serve the economic and social development of China and to promote the government decision-making process operated on a scientific and democratic basis.  Foundation funding comes mainly from the donations of enterprises, institutions and individuals both in China and abroad and is used to support research programs, training, academic discussions and exchange activities, reward the achievements by researchers in policy consulting and academic research, and to finance other activities of the public good.

 

The European Forum for New Ideas 2012 (EFNI) is an international discussion forum for business communities focusing on the future of Europe and its place in the world, as well as on the prospects for European and global economies. The main theme of EFNI 2012 is "Leader or Follower? Europe in the Multipolar World. Business Perspective." Organized for the second time by the Polish Confederation of Private Employers Lewiatan in collaboration with BUSINESSEUROPE, the City of Sopot along with Polish and international companies and institutions. World famous intellectuals, economists, entrepreneurs and executives will be among the EFNI guests. Business leaders from Poland, Europe and other continents, as well as politicians and representatives of the cultural sector and academia will attend the event. Representatives of business organizations, including BUSINESSEUROPE member federations will arrive in Sopot, one of Poland's most picturesque cities and most beautiful resort on the Baltic seaside, to participate in EFNI debates. Over one thousand participants from around the world are expected to attend EFNI 2012.
