This year's sessions

4 lunch debates will be held (2 on 28 May 2013 – 2 on 29 May 2013).

Lunch debates host 100 participants for a seated lunch (lunch box) around 10 round tables (10 participants per table), including speakers, moderators and OECD staff.

Due to limited space, lunch debate sessions require a separate registration (see below).

How to participate in Food for Thought sessions

The pre-registration is now open for lunch debates!

Please note that there are two steps to the process:

• Step 1 – Pre-register to the lunch debate via email: 

Please send an e-mail to oecd.forum@oecd.org specifying which lunch debate you would like to attend. If there is space available, you will receive a pre-confirmation email. You will then be pre-registered.

• Step 2 – Finalise your registration in person on 28 May or 29 May:  

You will need to finalise your registration in person no later than 20 minutes before the start of the lunch debate, otherwise you will lose your seat.

The Pre-Registration Desk in front of the room (CC6) will open 1 hour before the lunch debate. Then, 20 minutes before the start of the session, all remaining slots will be offered to those who registered on the Waiting List.

Purpose

Food for Thought - Lunch Debates encourage lively informal discussions in a more relaxed setting.

The speakers and OECD discussion leaders "moderate" the discussion at each table, ensuring that everyone at the table has an opportunity to get engaged.

Directions for use

1. Select a Biting Issue from the Menu.
   
   At each table you will find a "menu" from which you may pick the topic of your conversation or "biting issue".
   
   
2. You will find more data/information about the chosen topic in a box in the middle of your table.
   
   

3. At the end of the session, each table will be asked to summarise the conversations.
   
   

   You could be the one "Sharing the Tab".
