2019 Roundtable on Insurance and Retirement Saving in Asia

 

 4-5 March 2019  Naypyidaw, Myanmar

Taking place over two days, discussions will focus on the key developments and challenges facing insurance and retirement saving in the Asian region. Key themes to be covered include:

  • Market and regulatory developments in Asia

  • Financing and insuring disasters in a low penetration environment

  • Private sector options for sharing the burden of retirement

  • The role of reinsurance in developing insurance markets

This event will bring together high-level government officials and experts from public authorities, including regulatory and supervisory authorities, ministries of finance, officials of state governments and international organisations, standard setter bodies, the academic community, the private sector as well as NGOs.

 

This event is co-hosted by the OECD, the ADBI, and the Financial Regulatory Department, Ministry of Planning and Finance, Myanmar, with sponsorship from the Government of Japan, supported by the JICA technical cooperation project on the Myanmar insurance sector development.

REGISTRATION

All participants must be accredited in advance of the event. To facilitate accreditation and registration, participants are divided into the different categories described below. According to your category, please submit your registration request via the appropriate channel. Invited speakers and moderators do not need to register.

  • OECD delegates and governmental officials, please register directly through your delegation [event number E90411]
  • Private sector, academia, non OECD members and other representatives are subject to clearance. Online registration will close on Saturday, 9 February 2019. As the clearance process may take some time, you are strongly encouraged to apply as soon as possible. Kindly note that accreditations are not transferrable.
