Mr. Marten KOKK

Mr. Kokk was born in Tallinn, Estonia, on 11 March 1973. In 1995, he graduated with a degree in Law from the University of Tartu. From 2000 to 2001, he attended the Tallinn Institute of Law.

Mr. Kokk entered the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1994, serving as Assistant Adviser at the Human Rights Bureau of the Legal Department. In 1995, he was an Attaché at the Human Rights Division of the Ministry. He was subsequently promoted to Third Secretary within the same Division. From 1997 to 1999, Mr. Kokk was Director of the Human Rights Division. Then, in 1999, he was Adviser to the Secretary of State of the Republic of Estonia at the State Chancellery. In 2000, Mr. Kokk became Head of the Department of I.T. systems and document management at the State Chancellery. The following year, he was appointed Director-General of the State Chancellery. From 2006 to 2009, he served as Under-Secretary on Administrative Affairs at the Ministry.

From 2009, until his nomination as Permanent Representative of Estonia to the OECD,
Mr. Kokk was Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Ambassador Marten Kokk took up his duties as Permanent Representative of Estonia to the OECD on 2 February 2011.
