The objectives of this report are two-fold: to update inventory information about existing water price levels and structures in households in as many OECD countries as possible; and to generate comparative interpretations of that data.
Adequate water pricing in the agricultural sector is a key factor in maintaining the operational capacity of water supply systems. Making irrigators pay for the costs they impose on public and private suppliers contributes to restraining short-term water demands.
