Recommends that Member countries take steps to improve information on material flows, including its quality and relevance for environmental management, in particular, develop methodologies to enhance knowledge of material flows within and among countries.
Recommends Member countries establish and apply a policy framework aimed at ensuring the efficient long-term conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity and its related resources.
Confirms the importance Member countries attach to integrated transport and environment policy and decision making; and recommends that systematic evaluation of economic, social and environmental effects should underpin all transport plans and programs.
This report assesses the progress that OECD countries have made in implementing these objectives, as well as in applying the 71 national actions they agreed as part of the OECD Environmental Strategy.
