2018 Annual Meeting of the GREEN Action Task Force

The 2018 Annual meeting of the GREEN Action Programme Task Force will take place on 22-23 October at Hotel Devin, in Bratislava (Slovak Republic).

This year’s meeting aims to provide an opportunity for the Task Force members and Partners to review progress made in greening the economies of the region of Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia (EECCA), and to discuss how remaining challenges can be addressed.

The Annual Meeting will start with two High-Level panel discussions on sustainable infrastructure investment and energy transition.

The first day will start with a special session of the GREEN Task Force Programme on environmental information and reporting in EECCA followed by the Annual Meeting after the lunch.

The second day will focus on selected areas of priority work of the Task Force, such as: 

  • Greening the domestic financial systems; 
  • Integrated water management for water security and sustainable infrastructure; and 
  • Circular economy, including the application of the Extended Producer Responsibility systems.

 

During the meeting the Secretariat will report on 2017-2018 Programme of Work and Budget (PWB) of the GREEN Action Task Force and discuss the next PWB for 2019-2020.

Bureau elections will be held at the end of the meeting.
