Integrating climate change adaptation into development planning: A practice-oriented training based on the OECD Policy Guidance

This training is based on the OECD Policy Guidance “Integrating Climate Change Adaptation into Development Co-operation”.

These training modules introduce the key steps for climate change adaptation. Working with the case of the fictitious state of Zanadu, participants simulate the process of addressing climate adaptation in their decision making.

Materials for the training “Integrating Climate Change Adaptation into Development Planning” are available in English, French, and Spanish, with some parts available in German and Portuguese as well. The materials consist of four elements:

  •     A manual for participants with all the necessary information and exercises;
  •     A handbook for trainers detailing the requirements and didactic methods of the course;
  •     PowerPoint slides for each module to complement the training event;
  •     Handouts with further exercise materials, solutions, and information.

To access the training material please visit the dedicated website: "Adaptation Training"
