OECD at UN Climate Change Conference (COP24)

2-14 December 2018, Katowice, Poland


The key objective of this year’s COP24 is to adopt the implementation guidelines of the Paris Climate Change Agreement.

The OECD is actively contributing to this important event through a series of side events, publications, and by taking part in a number of workshops, seminars and other events throughout the conference. Keep up-to-date with the latest information on OECD participation through this page.

The OECD welcomed the opportunity to inform the discussion of the UNFCCC Talanoa Dialogue, addressing the following questions: 1) Where are we? 2) Where do we want to go? and 3) How do we get there? 

Friday 7 December

Official OECD/ITF UNFCCC side event “Policy Pathways for Decarbonising Transport, room 5, 18:30 - 20:00

  • Organised jointly with the International Association of Public Transport (UITP) and International Union of Railways (UIC), this event will highlight the Decarbonising Transport initiative’s outcomes and serve as a platform to foster an inclusive policy dialogue.

  • OECD and UNEP-Finance Initiative joint high-level panel on the role of finance in achieving the Paris Agreement and ensuring the transition towards a low-emission, resilient future, as envisioned by Article 2.1.c.
