The Second Joint Meeting of the EU Water Initiative EECCA Working Group and the EAP Task Force Environmental Finance and Water Networks was held on the 26-28th of April 2006, in Almaty, Kazakhstan with the support of the Ministry of Environment of Kazakhstan and of CAREC.
The Environmental Finance Network of the New Independent States of the former Soviet Union (NIS), previously known as NIS Environmental Funds Network, was launched in 1997 in Almaty, Kazakhstan under the auspices of the EAP Task Force.
