The sixth annual meeting of the EECCA Regulatory Environmental Programme Implementation Network (REPIN) took place on 26-28 September 2004, Yerevan, Armenia.

Special attention was devoted to projects on strengthening environmental compliance assurance system in Kyrgyzstan, reforming environmental permitting in Ukraine and other EECCA, and on analysis of the effectiveness and efficiency of economic instruments in Russia and Armenia. As with previous meetings, the event provided an opportunity to assess progress in improving governments’ policies, instruments and institutions for environmental compliance assurance and promotion. In addition, the meeting reviewed progress with REPIN’s work programme implementation since the previous Network meeting in October 2003.
