This document, with a mixed technical and managerial character, will provide guidance in improving the inspection activities in the NIS. The first draft was discussed at an Environmental Inspection Expert Meeting in June 2002 (Riga, Latvia).
Its main objective is to provide domestic institutions managing public environmental expenditure in the CEE/NIS regions with practical guidance and tools for identification, appraisal, and financing of priority environmental investment projects.
