Environmental Policy, Finance and Innovation

 

Innovation allows for the achievement of both economic and environmental objectives. Therefore, it is important that policies provide the right incentives for the development and diffusion of ‘environmental’ technologies. The flexibility to undertake the necessary investments out of public sources of finance are restricted. It is necessary to assess the role of public policy in leveraging private finance for environmental investments.
