OECD unemployment rate at 8.0% in July 2012

11/09/2012 - The OECD unemployment rate increased slightly to 8.0% in July 2012 compared with 7.9% in the previous month.

In the euro area, the unemployment rate remained stable at 11.3% in July following 13 months of continuous rises and remained 4.0 percentage points above its record low of 7.3% in March 2008.

In August 2012, the unemployment rate fell 0.2 percentage point in the United States (to 8.1%) and remained stable in Canada at 7.3%.
