The purpose of this meeting is to update on the progress made in preparation for the Main Study and discuss initial feedback from the field trial results. The meeting will also provide an opportunity to decide which 15 skills will be included in the Main Study and to discuss how final items were selected

OECD Conference Centre, Paris

The purpose of this meeting was to provide an update on the progress made in the Study since the July 2018 webinar, including the Field Test. The meeting also provided an opportunity to consider the preparations for the Main Study, as well as an initial discussion on the structure of the International Report that will be published in 2020.

Webinar

At the webinar, the OECD Secretariat shared findings from the recently completed Item Trial, and discussed with participating cities and countries the preparations for the upcoming Field Test.

8-9 March

OECD Boulogne Annex, Boulogne-Billancourt

The meeting provided an update on the progress made in the Study since the November 2017 meeting, including the Item Trial and preparations for the Field Test. The meeting was also an opportunity to consider the preparations for the Field Test, as well as new communication material relating to the Study.

OECD Boulogne Annex, Boulogne-Billancourt

The primary objective of this meeting was to provide an update on more detailed and concrete information about the Study, along with gaining input from cities and countries on elements of the Study that have not been finalised. The meeting was also an opportunity for the OECD Secretariat to encourage cities and countries to participate in the project.

Webinar 

At the webinar, the Study was discussed in detail and the OECD Secretariat gained input from city and country representatives on the Study’s conceptual design including the social and emotional skills that could be assessed.

30-31 March

OECD Conference Centre, Paris

The meeting gained further feedback from city and country representatives on the design and development of the Study, including on the Study’s conceptual design and proposed timelines. The OECD Secretariat also introduced the International Contractor who will design, develop and implement the OECD Study on Social and Emotional Skills.

15-16 December

OECD Conference Centre, Paris

The meeting gained input from cities and countries on the scope of the Study, including their preferences on a number of elements to provide guidance to the OECD Secretariat for defining the scope and finalising a contract with an International Contractor to design, develop and implement the OECD Study on Social and Emotional Skills.
25-26 January

OECD Conference Centre, Paris

The meeting gathered detailed feedback and agreements on the proposed feasibility of the Study.
