It was a collaborative project, to assist governments with designing and implementing teacher policies to improve teaching and learning in schools. The project concluded in June 2005 with the release of a publication, Teachers Matter, a comprehensive, international analysis of trends and developments in the teacher workforce in 25 countries around the world.
