|||PIAAC: Programme for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies
As part of its Programme for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies (PIAAC),the OECD collects and analyses data that assist governments in assessing, monitoring and analysing the level and distribution of skills among their adult populations as well as the utilisation of skills in different contexts. |PISA: Programme for International Student Assessment
PISA is an international study that was launched by the OECD in 1997. It aims to evaluate education systems worldwide every three years by assessing 15-year-olds' competencies in the key subjects: reading, mathematics and science. To date over 70 countries and economies have participated in PISA. Read more.
|TALIS: Teaching and Learning International Survey
Effective teaching and teachers are key to producing high performing students. TALIS is the first international programme to focus on the learning environment and the working conditions of teachers in schools. TALIS fills important information gaps in the international comparisons of education systems. It offers an opportunity for teachers and school principals to give their input into education analysis and policy development in some key policy areas. Cross-country analysis from TALIS allows countries to identify other countries facing similar challenges and to learn from other policy approaches. Read more.
