Are Students Ready for a Technology-Rich World?: What PISA Studies Tell Us
Information and communications technology (ICT) has profound implications for education, both because ICT can facilitate new forms of learning and because it has become important for young people to master ICT in preparation for adult life. This book examines how extensive access to ICT is in schools, how it is used by students, how it impacts student performance and the implications for educational policy. The work is based data collected by the OECD’s Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA).
