The OECD Centre for Effective Learning Environments has completed a review of the secondary school building modernisation programme in Portugal. The review was carried out during 2009 to provide an objective assessment of the programme to the Portuguese government.
Includes statistics on personnel, expenditure, foreign student enrollments, graduates by age and field of education, enrollment by type of institution and total population by sex and age.
Following the success of the first three editions, the OECD Centre for Effective Learning Environments (CELE) has recently published its fourth 'Compendium of Exemplary Educational Facilities'.

The CELE international conference "Higher Education Spaces and Places: For Learning, Innovation and Knowledge Exchange", being held jointly with the University of Latvia in Riga, will explore how to create sustainable educational facilities that will meet the needs of future generations.
These articles have been published in the journal of the OECD Centre for Effective Learning Environments (CELE). Prior to 2009, the journal was called “PEB Exchange”.
