OECD annual inflation picks up to 1.5% in November 2013

09/01/2014 - Consumer prices in the OECD area rose by 1.5% in the year to November 2013, compared with 1.3% in the year to October 2013. This increase in the annual rate of inflation was mainly driven by energy prices which increased by 0.1% in the year to November, compared with a decrease of 1.3% in the year to October. Food price inflation was down slightly to 1.5% in November, compared with 1.6% in October. Excluding food and energy, the OECD annual inflation rate increased to1.6% in November, compared with 1.5% in October.
