OECD annual inflation up to 2.0% in April 2014

04/06/2014 - Consumer prices in the OECD area increased by 2.0% in the year to April 2014, compared with 1.6% in the year to March 2014. Excluding food and energy, the OECD annual inflation rate also increased to 2.0% in April, compared with 1.7% in March.

Energy price inflation rose to 2.7% in the year to April, compared to 0.9% in March. The increase in energy prices in the OECD area reflects the continuing growth of energy prices in non-EU OECD countries. Food price inflation rose to 2.0% in the year to April, compared with 1.7% in the year to March.
