OECD annual inflation increases slightly to 1.9% in July 2013

03/09/2013 - Consumer prices in the OECD area rose by 1.9% in the year to July 2013 compared with 1.8% in the year to June 2013. This slight increase in the annual rate of inflation was driven by higher energy and food prices. Energy prices increased by 4.5% in the year to July compared with 3.4% in June. Food price inflation was 2.2% in the year to July compared with 2.0% in June. Excluding food and energy, the OECD annual inflation rate was stable at 1.5% in July.
