Until 2001, the Council Working Party on Shipbuilding regularly collected and distributed a wide variety of shipbuilding data and other information. Since 1998, these statistics included data from Brazil, China, Croatia Romania and Chinese Taipei, and overall, the statistics potentially covered in excess of 95% of the world market.
These statistical collections consist of the following sets of information:
- New Orders, State of the Orderbook and Ships Completed (six-monthly).
- Statistics on Ship Production, Exports and Orders (annually).
- Comprehensive Information System on Shipbuilding Capacity (annually).
Most of these reports are publicly available.
However, in 2001 the Council Working Party decided that these statistics would no longer be collected and this site will no longer be updated, and they are provided here for the record.
