African conference on well-being and measuring the progress of societies

The African Conference on Measuring Well-Being and Fostering the Progress of Societies will be held on 19 to 21 April 2012 in Rabat, Morocco. It is one of a series of regional conferences being conducted in preparation for the 4th OECD World Forum on Statistics, Knowledge and Policy, to be held in New Delhi.


Food Crisis Prevention Network Meeting (RPCA)

This RPCA meeting provides an opportunity for West African food security actors to assess the food and nutrition situation, to bring key concerns to the attention of policy makers, and to suggest measures to be taken.

West Africa and Brazil: addressing renewable energy challenges

Hosted by the government of Cape Verde on 5-6 December, the debates of the Forum contributed to the development of a regional policy on renewable energy in West Africa.


17th Africa Partnership Forum - Joint Statement

The theme of the meeting was 'Promoting economic growth' and sessions focused on the regulatory framework for the private sector; responsible and value-added investment; infrastructure; and climate change.


11th Annual International Economic Forum on Africa

The 2011 Forum featured two panels that focus on the relationship between the continent and the G20 and opportunities and challenges in relation to Africa's new and emerging partners. The panels were followed by a roundatble on policy reforms in Africa.


African Economic Outlook 2011

African countries should develop closer cross-border ties in dealing with traditional and emerging partners so they can boost sustainable and inclusive growth, according to the African Economic Outlook 2011.
