Sickness, Disability and Work: Breaking the Barriers – Finland

Finland should do more to cut the number of workdays lost to employees claiming sick leave and to help people with disability find work, according to a new OECD report, Sickness, Disability and Work: Breaking the Barriers –Finland, Denmark, Ireland and the Netherlands, to be released on Thursday 20 November.

Finnish State Secretary Ms Terttu Savolainen,  Minister of Labour Ms Tarja Cronberg, OECD Deputy Secretary General Aart de Geus and OECD Project Leader Christopher Prinz will present the findings of the report at a press conference the same day at 09.30 AM at the Press room of the Government Palace in Helsinki (Aleksanterinkatu 3 H).

Following the press conference, a seminar to discuss the report’s findings and recommendations will take place at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health from 12.00 PM.
