The SWAC's Strategy and Policy Group (SPG)

 

Attached to the OECD as a semi-autonomous body, in particular to the Centre for Co-operation with Non-Members (CCNM), the Sahel and West Africa Club (SWAC) is managed by a Secretariat. Its Work Plan is approved by a Strategy and Policy Group (SPG), the SWAC’s Governing Board.

   SPG members

The SWAC’s Strategy and Policy Group (SPG) is primarily comprised of representatives from OECD contributing countries and of representatives from West African countries as well as the main regional partner institutions and networks.

The SPG is chaired by a personnality nominated by the SPG members for a three-year period. The presidency is currently hold by Mr. François-Xavier de Donnea, Belgium Minister of State and member of the Belgian House of Representatives. He has taking up his functions in January 2009.

 

   SPG meetings

The SPG meets twice a year to examine the work accomplished and to approve the SWAC’s work programme.
