Sigma Activities: Slovak Republic

Sigma is supporting the reform efforts of the Slovak Republic in priority areas through its work on the following projects: 

Financial Control and External Audit

  • PIFC Peer Assistance Ongoing 2005-6 (June 2005 – November 2006)
  • Ongoing PIFC Peer Assistance (November 2003 – December 2004)
  • Completion of Peer Assistance for the PIFC System (February - November 2003)
  • Peer Assistance and Development Planning for the Public Internal Financial Control (PIFC) and Internal Audit Systems (June - December 2002)
  • Assistance in Setting up and Accreditation of SAPARD Agency and related National Fund Systems and Procedures (May 2001 – March 2002)
  • Peer Review of the Supreme Audit Office (September 2001 – March 2002) 

Legal Framework, Civil Service and Justice

  • Support to Civil Service Reform (June 2005)

Policy-making and Co-ordination Capacities

  • Seminar on Better Regulation (June - July 2005)

Public Procurement

  • Assistance to Organisation of High-Level Meeting on Audit Monitoring and Remedies in Public Procurement (December 2004 – February 2005)
