Download the entire news release (pdf)
07/11/2008 - OECD composite leading indicators (CLIs) for September 2008 indicate a continued weakening outlook for all the major seven economies, with cyclical slowdowns at levels not seen since the beginning of the decade. The latest data for major non-OECD member economies tentatively point to a downturn in China and a slowdown in Russia and India. The message from Brazil is mixed but the latest data show tentative signs of a possible downturn. etc.
The next publication date of the OECD's CLI will be on 5 December 2008.
Following a methodological and system review, the OECD will change the way it calculates its Composite Leading Indicators (CLI) beginning in December 2008. For more details see "OECD System of Composite Leading Indicators".
