Analytical work by the OECD on fisheries is carried out by the Committee for Fisheries and covers a wide range of issues related to management, resource conservation, trade and sustainable development.

This volume describes major developments affecting fisheries in OECD countries in 2002, 2003 and some recent events of 2004, including changes in national and international policies, trade, and fisheries and aquaculture production.
This edition also contains a special chapter on policy coherence for development in fisheries.
