Saera Khan

Ms Saera Khan, born 23 April 1979 in Oslo, is a Member of the Norwegian Parliament (Stortinget) for the Labour Party, and a Member of the Storting Standing Committee on Local Government and Public Administration. Between 1999 and 2005 she served her local government as Member of the Oslo City Council.

 

Saera has been publicly appointed as Member of the the Contact Committee for Immigrants and the Authorities, and her political appointments include Member of the Labour Party Central Executive Committee (2002-); Member of the Oslo Labour Party Executive Committee; and Member of the Steering Committee for Women’s Issues, Oslo Labour Party.


Saera has previously worked as a communication consultant for the Norwegian Refugee Council and her educational background is in thea areas of social economics, gender and society, and Europe and integration.
