This meeting was part of the ongoing project on the future of tertiary education carried out at the OECD Centre for Educational Research and Innovation (CERI).

The purpose of this meeting was to deepen our understanding of the possible impact of globalisation/internationalisation and of the rise of markets and quasi-markets in higher education, to identify the key drivers of change in these areas and generate new ideas for CERI’s futures scenarios for higher education.
