The Latin American Corporate Governance Roundtable and Companies Circle

The Latin American Corporate Governance Roundtable, established April 2000, aims to facilitate public and private sector policy-dialogue. It provides a forum for the exchange of experiences between senior policy-makers, regulators and market participants with first hand experience of present developments and ongoing work. The Roundtable has also established a Companies Circle to provide Policy and practical input to the Roundtable's work and to promote good corporate governance practivces at the company level.

Building on its discussions, the Roundtable has issued a Latin American Corporate Governance White Paper.  It is available in EnglishPortuguese and Spanish. The White Paper targets priorities for action. Its conclusions serve as a practical reform agenda and also provided valuable input to the 2004 revision of the OECD Principles of Corporate Governance.

Participants to the Roundtable come from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, the United Kingdom, the United States and Venezuela.
