STES Timeliness Framework: Efficient Dissemination Processes

Back to STES Timeliness Framework

Improving the efficiency of dissemination processes can enable small gains to be made in timeliness for short-term economic statistics.  Examples include:

•   Designing dissemination platforms connected to estimation systems
•   Release of data on the internet prior to paper publications
•   Publishing preliminary data at aggregate levels on the internet followed by revised data at a greater level of detail at a later date
•   Publishing target release dates for short-term economic statistics including an assessment of past performance on achieving these targets

Currently, there are no detailed papers available describing statistical organisations practices on this issue.
