OECD-Italian Treasury Network for Public Debt Management in Emerging Markets

The OECD-Italian Network for Public Debt Management in Emerging Markets provides an additional feature of multilateral co-operation in the area of public debt management, by offering participants from OECD and emerging markets continuous on-line access to the Working Party’s pool of knowledge on experiences and leading practices and techniques on all aspects of public debt management.  This new electronic source (www.publicdebtnet.org) operates under the aegis of the OECD Working Party on Debt Management (WPDM)  and provides continuous and multilateral information on experiences, best practices and techniques on all aspects of public debt management to debt managers and other Partners of the OECD-Italian Network for Public Debt Management such as supranational and multilateral organisations, public and private research centres and financial institutions.

 

Mission of the network:

  • To promote the international dialogue betweeb OECD and emerging countries' debt managers
  • To disseminate public debt management techniques among emerging countries
  • To share best/good practices
  • To provide emerging countries with tools and knowledge in order to strenthen the efficiency of their debt management policies and to lower their vulnerability to financial crisis
